Fine Art

In 1991 I ttransitioned from Oil on Canvas to a Mouse and Monitor. Photoshop was new back then and Digital Painting was not considered to be Fine Art. Most of it was created with Photo manipulation. My Paintings were different because of the way I constucted them. It is an old obscure process of pixel manipulation and image layering. This very obscure technique formulates the tools and effects in the program to morph pixels into images. These images are constructed on layers and then put together like puzzle pieces to build a composite. I adopted and farther developed this collage technique without the use of photos, drawings, or uploads. Subjects matter is easy when you're a hopeless romantic. Whether it be a long forgotten  memory, an age old legend or an abstract thought, I use form, movement, vivid color and contrasts to express emotions.
I like music. Most of my work is
inspired by it. I have a very large Vinyl LP collection that has every kind of music. My favorite is Jazz. Spontaneous images are generated when I listen to it. Most of the paintings in the galleries are over twenty years old; just a sample to show the wide range of work.      Thank you for viewing.
